Bioshock — With water effects good enough to fool you into thinking they’re real, my descent into Rapture will only be known by the bloodshot eyes and the pizza boxes surrounding me while I play this masterpiece for days at a time.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma — While I’m still waiting for Ninja Gaiden 2, I’ll settle for this beautifully rendered extra action version. Plus, it gives me an excuse to play my PS3. Those are few and far between.
Alone in the Dark 5 — What was one of the best and generally the creepiest survival horror series out there, Eden Studios is creating a hell on earth in Central Park, NYC, no less. Wide open environments that are wide open for scares? Sweet.
Mass Effect — Despite the fact that Bioware essentially gives me the equivalent of a gaming boner, ‘Mass Effect’ looks absolutely breathtaking. From the story to the character models, to the advertising campaign… I want to hold it in my arms and love it already.
Vampire Rain — I’m fully aware that since this is a vampire game, the probability that it will suck is somewhere around the area of 70-80%. The probability that I will play this game since it IS about vampires is around 100%. Give me an FPS about the vampire apocalypse in a constantly raining environment any day.
Heavenly Sword — As soon as a saw this debut at E3 last year, I knew it was going to be one of the coolest, albeit concept stealing, works for the system. Heavenly Sword is actually why I bought the PS3 7 months ago. It was meant to come out in April: my PS3 collects dust.
