There can only be… 4… 5… one of those numbers? As reported by Kotaku, Highlander is coming to your consoles, and there’s yet another freaking MacLeod. Kotaku says:
First we had Connor MacLeod, who confused us through several movies. Then Duncan MacLeod, Connor’s younger clansman shows up for the TV series and a movie stint. Now the Eidos game for the Xbox 360, PS2, and Games for Windows reportedly features Owen MacLeod. Whatever continuity you follow, this is beginning to get silly.
Yes, Highlander is confusing and can be downright stupid at times, but there is absolutely no way on this planet that I am not at least renting that baby. Did you see how they put the release year as 2008 A.D.? That is so badass. Much like “There can be only one.” So Owen MacLeod’s our newest Highlander hero, eh? No one on this planet could argue the fact that there is any continuity in this film and television series, but if the citizens of our fair planet had to come to a vote, they would undeniably all be glad that Christopher Lambert is not involved in this iteration of the Highlander Series. I mean, I’m no mind-reader, but I’m pretty sure everyone hated him in his lame white sneakers and trench coat. Getting the hot chicks with that high-pitched and accent-ambiguous voice of his. Well. Maybe it was just me. Either way, I’m freaking playing this game. You?
