I ran across this amazing news at Geekologie and had to immediately locate it on GameStop.com. Apparently they’re creating a Rock Band Stage Kit that, on 6/23, will transform you from an exceptionally skilled fake band member to King of the Dorks. How you ask? With a little smoke and a lot of love. Geekologie says:
What is the Rockband Stage Kit you ask? Well, it’s a $100 add-on to the game that provides an “interactive light and smoke stage show” synced to the game while you play. How awesome is that! Not very awesome is it? No, I guess not. Still, if you never made it in the music industry and want to get really really high and pretend you did, then it might help. And by “it might help” I mean it’ll give you a seizure and make you tumble off the stage you built in your parent’s basement.
On a more positive side, this will encourage a lot of kids to stop lighting family pictures on fire to create that rock star smog effect. I think that’s pretty important for the world. And certainly worth 100 bucks. Honestly, I bet it’ll be used to fill the average teen’s basement with smoke and sexy lighting just perfect for high school make-out sessions.
